Crikey, these bars are some of the tastiest things I've eaten, but Christ are they sweet! You only need one or two to feel like you've had your weeks allowance on sweet treats!! I baked these for a party and they seemed to be enjoyed by all - they are the perfect treat to feed many.

Prep time: 15 / 20 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 16 pieces
Ingredients
- 275g plain flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 115g unsalted butter (melted)
- 55g granulated sugar
- 135g light brown sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 400g Kinder chocolate bars (chopped)
- 170g Kinder Bueno bars (chopped)
Method
1) Preheat the oven to 170C fan / 190C and line a 9x9 inch or a tin very similar with parchment paper. Leave to the side for now.
2) In a medium bowl, whisk together the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt and cornflour and leave on the side for now.
3) In a large separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar. Whisk the mixture together for 2 minutes using an electric whisk, then 2 minutes by hand.
4) Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture and whisk again until combined.
5) Pour in the dry flour mixture to the other mixture and mix until a really thick cookie dough has formed.
6) Add in the chopped Kinder bars and chopped Kinder Bueno bars and fold through. Make sure you leave a third of the Kinder bar pieces to the side to add to the top of the cookie bars.
7) Push the mixture into the 9x9 tin and add on the last bits of the Kinder bars.
8) Bake the cookie bars in the oven for 20 minutes - these stay relatively gooey. If you want firmer ones, bake for a further 3 minutes.
9) Once baked, leave in the tin for 10 minutes to cool a bit, then remove from the tin to cool fully on a wire rack.
